Domains
Adding, managing, and removing the domains you track, and how many each plan includes.
A domain is the website you want measured across AI platforms. SurfacedBy tracks whole domains, not individual pages or products. Each domain belongs to a workspace, and everyone in the workspace sees it according to their role. See Workspaces.
The workspace home
Opening a workspace lands on its home page, which rolls up every domain you can access: health and freshness across your brands, an attention queue of what needs you, totals across the portfolio, a brands table you can compare and export, a portfolio trend, and a summary per brand you can copy into an update. It only includes domains you have access to.
Your domains lists every tracked domain as a card with its status, Visibility Score and change, Brand Coverage, AI Mentions over the last 7 days, Market Position, last check, and alerts. You can search, sort, and filter the list. Pick a domain there, or from the domain switcher at the top of the sidebar, to open its dashboard.

Deleted domains do not count toward the limit. When you reach it, the add button tells you and offers an upgrade. See Plan Limits.
Adding a domain
Workspace admins and owners can add domains, from Add another domain in the sidebar's domain switcher or Add domain on the Your domains page. Enter the root hostname (for example yourbrand.com), and SurfacedBy walks you through onboarding:
- Analysis: SurfacedBy reads your site, works out what you do, finds prompts, and identifies competitors.
- Brand: confirm your brand name and details.
- Competitors: pick the competitors to track.
- Prompts: choose the prompts to track.
- Plan: shown only when the workspace does not have a plan yet.
Your first check starts when onboarding is complete. For a step-by-step version, see Add a domain.
After onboarding
- Prompts: add, pause, or pin prompts, and review prompts Suggested by AI, on Tracked Prompts. See Prompts.
- Competitors: add, remove, or restore competitors on the Manage tab of Competitors. See Competitors.
- Integrations: connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and the AI traffic tracker from the domain's Integrations page (admins and owners).
A prompt you add is measured from the next check that includes it. Past checks keep the results they recorded.
Checks
Every plan that runs checks (Trial, Starter, Professional, and Agency) gets a Daily Check every day and a Full Check every 7 days. The Overview header shows when the last check ran and when the next one is due. You cannot start a check on demand from the dashboard. See Scans.
Deleting a domain
Workspace admins and owners can delete a domain from its menu on the Your domains page. You confirm by typing the domain name.
Deleting removes the domain from your dashboard, cancels any check in progress, stops all future checks, and frees its place in your plan's domain limit. SurfacedBy keeps the domain's history: if you add the same domain to the same workspace again, its history and prompts come back and you go through onboarding again.
