Opportunities
Concrete improvements identified from your scan results.
Opportunities is the per-domain list of improvements SurfacedBy identified from your most recent Full Benchmark scan. Each row is one decision: add it to your Plan, generate a brief, or dismiss it.
The page lives at /dashboard/{workspace-slug}/{domain-id}/opportunities. It replaces the older "AI Content Gaps" sidebar item. Both views are now the same data set on one page.
The three opportunity types
Every opportunity is one of three types.
- Citation gap. A prompt where competitors are cited and you are not. The fix is usually content: a page that answers the prompt clearly, or a stronger version of an existing page.
- Improve rank. A prompt where you are already cited but ranked below where you could be. The fix is page-level: clearer structure, better evidence, or a more authoritative source.
- Technical gap. A page or site-wide issue that limits how AI platforms can read or cite your content. The fix is structural: schema markup, heading order, crawler access, or page speed.
The type appears as a chip on each opportunity row.
Reading an opportunity row
Each row carries the prompt text, the country, the AI search volume, the competitors currently cited (up to three avatars), your current position (or "Not cited"), per-platform cells showing where competitors appear, an opportunity score, an effort badge (S / M / L), and an estimated lift.
Click the row or "Open evidence" to see the actual AI answers from each platform where competitors were cited, the URLs they linked to, the sources cited in those answers, and a suggested target page on your domain when one exists.
Adding to your Plan
Each opportunity has an "Add to Plan" button. Adding an opportunity creates an action item in your Plan with the evidence context pre-filled, so the work captures why it matters and what the AI answer currently says.
The same "Add to Plan" affordance appears in other places: the Today and Weekly Brief tabs inside the Your Priorities card on Overview, and the Opportunities preview on Overview. In every case, the "Added" badge reflects server state, not your click. If the badge says "Added", the row is already on your Plan; clicking it again will not create a duplicate. See the Plans page for how to work the backlog.
Filtering and sorting
The filter rail at the top lets you narrow by priority (High / Medium / Low), platform, effort, and (when content briefs are available) whether a brief has been generated.
Sort by Score, Volume, Effort, or Recency. Score is the default and orders by opportunity score descending. Recency sorts by when the opportunity was first surfaced, most recent first.
Bulk actions
Select one or more rows to enable bulk actions: add the selected rows to a Plan, dismiss the selected rows, or generate briefs for the selected rows when that feature is available on your plan.
Dismissed opportunities
"View dismissed" at the bottom of the page opens an archive of opportunities you have dismissed. Each carries a Restore action. A dismissed opportunity can also be auto-resurfaced if its score climbs significantly later, so dismissing something that becomes important again will not hide it forever.
When opportunities update
Opportunities are tied to scan completion. They are produced by Full Benchmark scans only. Daily Monitoring does not add, remove, or rescore opportunities. The reasoning is in Measurement Scope: rank and recommendations need the complete scoreboard refresh that only Full Benchmark provides.
