How accurate is the data?

SurfacedBy sends real Prompts to real AI platforms and records the responses. There is no scraping or inference: when we say a platform cited your domain, it actually did, in a response we captured and stored. That said, AI platforms are non-deterministic. The same Prompt asked twice can produce slightly different answers, which is why SurfacedBy reports Brand Coverage over many Prompts rather than treating any single response as definitive.

How fresh is the data?

Every paid plan runs Daily Monitoring plus a Full Benchmark. Dashboard metrics update as scans complete. The web app uses realtime channels to push updates without requiring a refresh, and the public API returns results from the most recent scan by default. You can request a specific prior scan using the scan_id query parameter on the analytics endpoint.

Which AI platforms do you cover?

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Mode. Starter covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Mode. Professional and Business cover all five. See Platforms for details on what each scan tests.

How do the paid plans differ?

Starter tracks a single domain with a focused Prompt budget, Professional tracks up to five domains with a larger Prompt budget and includes the public REST API plus outbound webhooks, and Business tracks up to ten domains with the largest Prompt budget and adds write access to the API. All paid plans include Daily Monitoring and a Full Benchmark. See Plan limits for the full table.

Can I try it before paying?

You can start a short trial from the pricing page. The trial gives you a slice of the Starter experience so you can add a domain, run onboarding, and see your first results. When the trial ends you choose a plan to continue.

Can I choose which Prompts are scanned?

Yes. SurfacedBy auto-discovers a starting set during onboarding, and you can pin, unpin, or add Prompts from Tracked Prompts. On Business, you can do the same thing through the API. SurfacedBy will still suggest Prompts over time as your category evolves.

Can I trigger a scan on demand?

Not from the dashboard or the public API. On-demand scan triggering ships with the Console product, which is a separate workspace with its own billing. Cadence is set by your plan: Daily Monitoring runs every day, and the Full Benchmark runs on the schedule defined for your tier. See Plan limits.

Do I own my data? Can I export it?

Yes. You can export analytics as CSV from the dashboard, and every read endpoint in the public API is designed so an automated pipeline can mirror everything we store into your own systems.

What happens if I cancel?

Your domains stay in the system in read-only mode. You can still view historical data. No new scans run until you resubscribe.
