SurfacedBy is an AI visibility platform. It measures how often AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Mode mention and cite your brand when people ask questions in your category. You add a domain, review the Prompts and competitors SurfacedBy suggests for it, and SurfacedBy then checks those Prompts on a schedule and turns the answers into trends you can act on.
These docs cover two audiences. If you are using the web app to track a domain, the Platform section explains the metrics you see on your dashboard and how to read them. If you are building against SurfacedBy programmatically, the Developer section covers the public REST API, webhooks, and the conventions every endpoint follows.

Checks run on a schedule: every plan runs a Full Check each week and a Daily Check on the days in between. Results flow into a per-domain dashboard: Overview, AI Visibility, Tracked Prompts, AI Responses, Citations & Sources (including Your pages, the pages on your site AI platforms cite), and Tracking, plus Opportunities, Plans, Competitors, Tools, and Reports.
Pricing is tier based. Starter covers one domain on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Professional covers up to five domains, adds Google AI Mode, and includes read access to the public REST API. Agency covers up to ten domains and adds write access to the API and white-label reports and exports. Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek are add-ons you can buy on any paid plan.
